LARISSA LEISS

CSWI

Larissa Leiss is a licensed master social worker working towards her clinical license. Larissa graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in Interior Design. Her thesis and main focus of interest centered around how design can help those struggling with mental illness heal faster. After a few years of working in the field for a window design company, Larissa decided that it was time to pursue a more fulfilling career and so she attended the School of Social Work graduate program at the University of Nevada, Reno. Here, Larissa worked through two internships: one at Catholic Charities, working with the homeless population providing immediate resources, and the other at Reno Behavioral Health Hospital where she worked in both the acute psychiatric and the adolescent boys units.

Although she was born in The Bay Area in California, Larissa has lived in Reno most of her life. Larissa enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with her family and her two dogs. Larissa is an avid baseball fan and enjoys going back to San Francisco for games. Larissa also enjoys Disney and is a functioning coffeeholic.
