HEATHER JENNINGS

CSWI

After living in Northern Nevada for most of her life, Heather received an academic scholarship that allowed her to take a break from cold winters and pursue her B.S. in psychology at Arizona State University. Originally, Heather intended to apply to medical school after graduation, until she discovered a passion for healing that incorporates mind, body, and spirit. Her desire for a deeper understanding of human behavior and suffering eventually led Heather to pursue a master’s degree in social work, with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed therapist.

While attending graduate school full-time, she worked at an integrated behavioral healthcare center with a dual focus in substance use and mental health disorders. It was here that Heather gained invaluable experience in working with survivors of trauma and abuse, and developed a love for DBT, IFS, and EMDR. Heather is also interested in traumatic grief work, couples work, and soul work. She is passionate about working side-by-side with her clients to improve their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Since graduating and returning to the Reno-Sparks area, Heather spends her free time hiking the mountains and hills surrounding our beautiful valley, enjoying family, and watching music documentaries with her loving partner.
