Daniel is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFT-I). He enjoys working with couples, individuals, adolescents, and families. Daniel’s primary goal is to create an environment of mutual respect between client and clinician, doing everything he can to support clients in their growth and in meeting their therapeutic goals.

Prior to working as a therapist, Daniel spent a career in education – both in secondary and in higher education. He earned his M.A. in teaching from The Johns Hopkins University, a Ph.D. in Equity and Diversity from the University of Nevada, Reno, and most recently his M.A. in Counseling from UNR.

Before joining Healing Minds, Daniel gained experience working with couples and individuals struggling with grief, trauma, and eating disorders, and pre-teens dealing with adjustment issues.

His therapeutic approach is inspired by Yield Theory, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Existential Psychotherapy. Daniel’s vast life & professional experience has helped shape who he is as a therapist.
