After living in Northern Nevada for most of her life, Heather chose to take a break from gloomy winters and pursue her B.S. in psychology at Arizona State University. Originally, Heather intended to apply to medical school after graduation, until she discovered a passion for healing that more fully incorporated mind, body, and spirit. Her desire for a deeper understanding of human behavior eventually led Heather to pursue a master’s degree in social work, with the ultimate goal of becoming a licensed therapist.
Both during and following her completion of graduate school, Heather received training in DBT, IFS, and EMDR, each of which inform her practice today. She remains passionate about helping her clients deepen their understanding of themselves in a way that leads to positive, lasting change in their lives.
In her free time, Heather enjoys reading memoirs, spending time with her family, and scouring Reno for the perfect latte.
