Trent was born and raised in Concord, California where he lived until he was 18, leaving to pursue a college degree. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2016 as a student-athlete with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. During this time, he also had a four year tenure on the University’s football team, the Wolfpack as a Middle Linebacker. Trent has worked in various professional settings such as a law firm, a fundraising company, assisted living facilities and multiple schools in our community. He returned to the University of Nevada, Reno in 2019 to pursue a Masters degree in Social Work with the desire to help others professionally. During his education and training he completed two nine month internships. The first internship was at The Eddy House providing services to homeless or at-risk youth in our community. The second internship was at True North Treatment Center as he continued to build on his therapeutic abilities with a diverse clientele. Upon graduating with a Masters degree in Social Work in 2021, he began working as a Therapist for both the Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program and the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program at West Hills Behavioral Health Hospital until it’s closure. 
 
Trent is deeply committed to helping all clients that walk through his door. His approach focuses on combining validation, balance, encouragement, compassion and acceptance to create an environment primed for healing. His therapeutic approach utilizes techniques from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness to help clients reach the goals they have set for themselves. 
 

Trent enjoys living in Reno as the city is not too big nor too small with beautiful Lake Tahoe a short drive away. He also enjoys the outdoors in various ways and the regular sunny days of Reno makes it easy to get out and adventure.
